Gylania is a sculpture inspired by the research of the Lithuanian archaeologist Marija Gimbutas on the Neolithic cultures of the so-called “Old Europe.” The work reinterprets, through a contemporary sculptural language, the symbols associated with a worldview grounded in balance, cooperation, and a profound connection with nature. Through a mythical feminine figure, the sculpture invites reflection on cultural memory, the reinterpretation of archetypes, and the possibility of imagining new narratives for our time.
