Before Eve explores the persistence of feminine archetypes. Carved in stone, the sculpture takes as its starting point the earliest symbolic representations of the body to construct a figure poised between idol, goddess and ritual presence.
The hieratic frontality, formal simplification and integration of metallic elements evoke ancestral imaginaries linked to cult and the symbolic power of the body. The title suggests a time before the foundational narrative of Eve: a symbolic territory where the feminine still appears bound to primordial forces, to the sacred and to a cosmogonic dimension of the world.
