In this seated figure, the body is space and shelter. Curves that delimit a silent interior, a place where presence listens to itself. Within the gathered gesture lies an unassailable force: the right to return to one’s own body, to recognise it as a legitimate and inviolable territory. The sculpture becomes, in this way, a gesture of intimate emancipation, where to inhabit oneself is also to begin to be free.
